Trudging through the mud
we escape this nuclear wasteland
a product of mankind's greed

we hear the screams of the dying
who burn in the ruins
firebombed houses collapse
rain falls no more, the buildings burn on
no hope left for anyone
A mushroom cloud appears in the sky
the shockwaves destroy
radiation poisons
we feel our skin burn
as we slowly turn to ashes
no hope for humanity
we were killed by our own stupidity
we left a scar on our earth
it will take millions of years
for it to heal
One question remains
